Mr Mbadi said by targeting Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi and a host of other Opposition MPs from the Coast, the Jubilee administration was creating fear so that Kenyans would forget about corruption issues. Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery over the weekend said the Government would reduce VIP bodyguards, as protests mounted over the cut-back on security for the leaders. Mr Nkaissery said not even CORD principals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka would be spared. “The inclusion of the names of Raila and Kalonzo in Nkaissery’s list of leaders is meant to escalate the diversion of attention and get corruption and Jubilee’s poor showing in the by-elections off the national radar,” said Mr Mbadi. The Government is still dealing with Youth Enterprise Development Fund scandal.
